Wastewater Reports
A Wastewater Report needs to be prepared and submitted to Council if:
- You live in an unsewered area and
- You are planning to install a sewage management facility to treat domestic wastewater (e.g. a septic tank and trenches or an Aerated Wastewater Treatment System and irrigation area)
A Wastewater Report is needed before you:
- install a new sewage management facility
- upgrade an existing system or
- fix a failing system
The Wastewater Report is submitted to Council as part of a Development Application or a Section 68 Application (i.e. Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993).
Nowra Wastewater Design provides a professional and reliable service to assist you with the above approvals process.
Our assessment process involves:
- A desktop assessment
- A site visit to identify constraints and undertake soil sampling
- Discussion of options with you/the landowner
- Identification of a preferred option
- Preparation of a Wastewater Report
If your property is located in the Sydney Drinking Water Catchment, then the Wastewater Report is undertaken as part of a Water Cycle Management Study, which we can also oversee.
Other Services
Nowra Wastewater Design also offers the following services:
